Jake Morrison VIPsAllowed - Stunning birthday fizz

Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both blown away. The colour is gorgeous — proper deep pink, not that pale salmon you usually get. Really crisp acidity that kept us going back for more, and it's got this depth to it that cheap rosé champagne just doesn't have. Worth every penny of the £64.

The wine shop guy steered me toward this when I said I wanted something a bit special. It's got a lovely clean finish that doesn't hang around too long, and the fruit flavours are really well balanced. Not cheap but it's Grand Cru so you're getting what you pay for.

Had this with salmon at a dinner party and it was perfect. There's a firmness to it that stops it being just another light bubbly — actually stood up to the food really well. The nose hit me before I even took a sip, really aromatic and inviting.

Look, it's a good champagne — smells amazing straight out of the bottle and tastes structured and serious. But at nearly £64 I expected to be completely wowed and I wasn't quite there. Would probably reach for a decent crémant most nights instead.

Saw this on a restaurant menu and took a chance on it. So glad I did. There's real complexity here — layers of flavour that kept unfolding the more I drank. Tracked down a bottle to buy at home and it's just as good. The saignée method clearly makes a difference.

Picked this up for New Year's and it went down well with everyone. Clean, balanced, decent length on the finish. My only gripe is I wished the fruit was a touch bolder for the price point. At 12.5% it's easy drinking though and nobody was complaining.
