Yasmine Najjar VIPsAllowed - Nice but is it worth the jump from NV?
7/10

It's good, don't get me wrong. Clean finish, well balanced, and it smells great right out of the bottle. But at over £70 I kept comparing it to the £35 Imperial and honestly I'm not sure it's twice as good. Would happily drink it again if someone else is buying though.

Astrid Nilsen VIPsAllowed - Great for Christmas dinner
8/10

We opened this on Christmas Day and it went down brilliantly with the starter. It's got a backbone to it that stands up to food really well. Nose is lovely and inviting, not too subtle at all. At 12.5% it's easy drinking too, nobody was falling asleep before pudding.

Suki Patel VIPsAllowed - This one surprised me
9/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and genuinely went wow. It's restrained but in a good way — not showy, just confident. Really layered flavour across the palate and it lingered for ages after each sip. Went home and ordered two bottles the next day.

Omar Diallo VIPsAllowed - Bit pricey but decent
7/10

Saw this on a restaurant menu and looked it up afterwards to try at home. It's a proper champagne for sure, clean and persistent finish with some real complexity going on. Just struggle a bit with the price tag when there are good cremants out there for half the money. That said, you can taste the quality.

Mia Sundberg VIPsAllowed - Solid vintage champagne
8/10

Picked this up after the guy at Majestic recommended it over the non-vintage. He was right — there's a structure to it that you don't get with the regular Moët. Good balance of fruit and acidity, and the finish hangs around nicely. At £71 it's not cheap but it's fair for a vintage champagne.

Rafael Santos VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

Got this for my 40th and it was absolutely worth it. Really expressive on the nose straight away, none of that waiting around for it to open up. The bubbles are fine and it's got proper depth to it, not just fizzy wine like some cheaper stuff. Would definitely buy again for a special occasion.
