Moët & Chandon 2016 Grand Rose Champagne / Gift Box
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Moet & ChandonBit pricey for what it is
It's good, don't get me wrong. Clean, well made, nice acidity. But at nearly ninety quid I expected to be more blown away? I've had champagnes at £50-60 that got me just as excited. The gift box is a nice touch though if you're giving it to someone.
Birthday treat that delivered
Got this as a birthday present to myself and honestly no regrets. The rosé colour is gorgeous and it tastes properly complex — starts fruity but then there's this crisp acidity that keeps it interesting. At £87.50 it's not an everyday buy but for a special occasion it's worth every penny.
Great for a dinner party
Bought this for a dinner party and it was a big hit. Really expressive nose, you can smell it as soon as you pour. Nice balance of fruit and acidity, not too sweet like some rosé champagnes can be. Would buy again but probably only for occasions given the price.
Best champagne I've had
The wine shop guy recommended this over the standard Moët and wow, glad I listened. It's got layers to it — keeps changing as you drink it and the finish just lingers. Absolutely loved this, already planning to grab another bottle for our anniversary.
Saw it on a menu and had to find a bottle
Had this at a restaurant last month and spent the next week tracking down a bottle. There's something about the way it opens up in the glass — it's not one of those champagnes that hits you all at once then fades. Really structured and serious but still easy to enjoy. The 2016 vintage is a winner.
