Found Monte Rossa when we were driving through Franciacorta last summer and brought a couple bottles home. The Extra Brut style is really dry and crisp without being harsh — the acidity holds everything together nicely. Had it with pizza on the terrace and it was perfect.

Hannah Brooks - Not bad but expected more

Saw this recommended somewhere online and ordered a bottle. It's fine — well made, clean finish, decent complexity. But for nearly sixty quid I wanted to be wowed and I wasn't quite there. I've had champagnes at this price that excited me more. Might work better with food than on its own.

Sophie Brennan - Dinner party hero

Opened this at a dinner party and even my mate who only drinks beer was impressed. There's a real richness to it, almost a weight you don't normally get with sparkling. The finish just lingers in the best way. Will definitely be buying again for special occasions.

Marco Andretti - Good but maybe not £58 good

Tried this at a restaurant and liked it enough to track down a bottle. It's well made and the bubbles are fine and persistent, but honestly at this price point I'd probably just grab a decent champagne instead. That said the acidity is spot on and it went brilliantly with some hard cheese.

Kai Oliveira - Serious Franciacorta

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something like champagne but different. It's got a lot more weight and structure than I expected from a sparkling wine — almost felt like drinking something still at times. Really clean finish that kept me going back for more.

Daniel Torres - Interesting but quite strong

Didn't realise it was 14% until the next morning if I'm honest! It's a really well-balanced wine and the bubbles are lovely, but the alcohol does creep up on you. Nice and expressive when you let it sit in the glass for a bit. Would probably share a bottle rather than drink it solo.

Omar Diallo - Blew me away at a birthday dinner

Bought this for my wife's 40th and it was the star of the evening. Really impressive bubbles with proper depth to it — not just fizzy water like some sparkling wines. Everyone kept asking what it was. At £58 it's not cheap but for a special occasion it's worth every penny.

Annika Svensson - Finally get what Franciacorta is about

I'd never really understood why people rave about Franciacorta until I tried this. It's got this lovely precision on the nose — you can actually pick out different aromas rather than just getting generic fizz smell. Paired it with roast chicken and it was fantastic.
