Milan Nestarec WTB 2021
Red 14% ABV ABV Milan NestarecBit pricey for what it is
The guy at my local wine shop recommended this and it's decent. Nice bright acidity and the fruit is ripe without being overwhelming. But for nearly £44 I've had wines that excited me more. Would drink it again if someone else was buying.
Really easy to drink
I don't know loads about natural wine but I saw this on a menu and gave it a go. Really smooth, no funk at all, just clean fruit and a finish that hangs around nicely. Dangerous stuff at 14% because it drinks like it's way lighter.
Proper nice bottle
Picked this up after seeing Milan Nestarec mentioned on a natural wine forum. Really expressive nose, loads of fruit but nothing heavy or jammy. The acidity keeps everything lively and it just disappears way too quickly. Would absolutely buy again.
Lovely with a steak night
Had this with ribeye steaks on a Friday night and it was perfect. The acidity cuts through the fat and there's enough going on to keep you interested. Not a wine you just knock back, you actually want to pay attention to it. Would grab another bottle for sure.
Good but not cheap
Got this as a birthday present and it's a solid wine. Nice depth to it, layers of ripe fruit and a clean finish that keeps you sipping. At £43 though I'd probably want a bit more wow factor if I was buying it myself.
Nestarec does it again
I've been working my way through Nestarec's range and this is up there with my favourites. The nose is so clean and intense, you can tell the fruit was handled properly. Genuinely complex on the palate without trying too hard. Worth every penny.
Great dinner party wine
Brought this to a friend's dinner party and it went down really well with the lamb. You don't notice the 14% at all, it's super well balanced. The finish just lingers in a really satisfying way. Everyone asked where I got it.
