Milan Nestarec Forks & Knives White Blend 2020
White 12% ABV ABV Milan NestarecBirthday treat that delivered
Got this as a birthday present for myself and no regrets. There's proper depth to it — every sip I noticed something different. Really well balanced, not aggressive at all. The 12% ABV keeps it light enough for a second glass without feeling heavy.
Nestarec does it again
Saw this on a restaurant menu and had to try it — I've liked other Nestarec wines before. Doesn't disappoint. Confident and structured without being showy, which is kind of his thing. The nose hits you straight away and the palate keeps up. Worth every penny.
Not really my thing
I can see why people rate this but it was a bit too subtle for me. I like my whites with a bit more punch. The finish was nice and clean but overall it felt like it was holding back. Might work better with food.
Really interesting white
Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it. Really expressive nose, you can smell it as soon as you pour. Nice balance of fruit and acidity without being too in your face. Would definitely buy again.
Solid natural wine
Had this at a friend's dinner party and liked it enough to track down a bottle. It's lean and restrained which I appreciate — not trying too hard. Clean finish that doesn't linger forever. At £33 it's reasonable for what you get.
Great with seafood
Opened this with grilled prawns and it was a perfect match. The acidity cuts through nicely without being sharp. Aromatic in a good way, not perfumey. I'd keep one on hand for when we have people round.
Good but a bit pricey
Nice enough wine but I'm not sure it's worth £33. It's pleasant and easy drinking with decent complexity, but I've had whites at £20 that gave me more excitement. The finish is clean though, I'll give it that.
