Mauricio Lorca Natural Cabernet Franc Malbec 2023
Red 14% ABV ABV LorcaDecent but bit steep
Got this for a dinner party and it went down well enough. Nice dark fruit, drinks easy for 14%. But at over twenty quid I think you can find similar quality for less. Not bad by any means, just wouldn't rush back to it when there's so much competition at that price point.
Solid Argentine red
Saw this on a restaurant menu and looked it up afterwards to buy a bottle for home. It's got a nice balance to it — not too fruity, not too dry, and the finish is clean without disappearing instantly. I'm still learning about Malbec blends but this seems like a well-made one. Would happily bring it to a barbecue.
Really solid for the price
Picked this up from my local wine shop after the guy behind the counter recommended it. Dark fruity, savoury, proper grown-up red without being heavy. Had it with a slow-cooked lamb shoulder and it was perfect. Would definitely buy again.
Nice natural wine that actually tastes good
I've had some natural wines that were honestly a bit funky for my taste, but this one is just clean and fruity with a bit of depth to it. The Cab Franc gives it an almost peppery edge which I liked. Good stuff, not mind-blowing but I'd happily drink it on a weeknight.
Birthday treat that delivered
My partner got me this for my birthday and I loved it. Really expressive nose — you can smell the fruit straight away without having to swirl it around for ages. The blend works brilliantly, sort of juicy and serious at the same time. Had it with steak and it was a great match.
