Marc Tempe Pinot Blanc Amzelle 2021
White 12% ABV ABV Marc TempeSolid natural wine
Saw this on a wine list and figured I'd try it. It's only 12% so really easy drinking but it doesn't feel thin or watery at all — there's genuine weight to it. The beeswax note on the nose is interesting. Good with fish or just on its own.
Absolutely loved this
I'm still pretty new to wine beyond supermarket stuff but this was on another level. So fragrant and the texture is almost creamy? Had it with a cheese board and it went brilliantly. The finish lingers in a really pleasant way. Expensive but worth treating yourself.
Birthday treat that delivered
My partner got me this for my birthday and wow, it's so much more interesting than the usual Pinot Blanc. There's white flowers on the nose and this lovely almond thing at the end that keeps you going back for more. We had it with roast chicken and it was perfect.
Good but not cheap
Had this at a friend's dinner party and thought it was lovely. Nice balance of fruit and acidity, and it's got a slightly salty mineral thing going on that I liked. Nearly £29 is a lot for a white though — I'd save it for a special occasion.
Bit pricey for what it is
It's a decent wine, don't get me wrong. Light and easy to drink with some nice peachy flavours. But for almost thirty quid I expected to be blown away and I wasn't. I've had Alsace whites at half the price that I enjoyed just as much.
Really nice find
Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it. Really aromatic — got loads of stone fruit and something almost honeyed on the nose. It's got more going on than most Pinot Blancs I've tried, proper depth to it. Would definitely buy again.
