This is the real deal

I've been getting more into grower Champagnes lately and Manon Boutillez-Guer is a name worth knowing. The Extrait de Terroir has genuine structure and you can taste the terroir coming through. Finish lingers in the best way — kept reaching for my glass. One of the better NVs I've had this year.

Decent but expected more

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and went for it. It's well made — clean, balanced, pleasant length on the finish. But at this price point I wanted something that really wowed me and it was more quiet and understated. Maybe I need to give it another chance outside a noisy restaurant.

Proper Champagne, not just bubbles

The guy at my local wine shop recommended this and I'm glad he did. There's actual depth here — proper fruit and acidity, not just fizz in a fancy bottle. Needed about ten minutes after pouring to really show what it could do. Would buy again for sure.

Stood out at our dinner party

Served this at a dinner party and every single person commented on it. It's got this bright acidity that works brilliantly with food — we had it with some smoked salmon starters and it was spot on. The complexity surprised me for an NV.

Birthday treat that delivered

Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both blown away. Really expressive nose once it opened up a bit, and the finish just kept going. At £72 it's not cheap but for a special occasion Champagne it felt worth every penny.

Great find for Christmas

Picked this up for Christmas Day and it went down a treat. Even my dad who normally just drinks Prosecco said it was lovely. Really well balanced with nice fruit and it doesn't hit you over the head — just a classy, honest Champagne. Would make a cracking gift.

Nice but a lot of money

Good Champagne, no doubt about it. Clean finish, lovely balanced fruit. But I keep coming back to the price — £72 is a big ask when there are solid options for half that. I'd have it again if someone else was buying.
