Louis Roederer Rose Vintage 2017
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Louis RoedererReally nice but I expected more wow
Saw this on a best champagne list and gave it a go. It's definitely quality stuff — structured, clean finish, proper grown-up wine. I just thought at this price point I'd be absolutely blown away and it was more of a slow burner? Still really enjoyed it with some smoked salmon though.
Lovely but pricey
Had this at a restaurant and liked it enough to track down a bottle. It's genuinely good rosé champagne — balanced, not too sweet, nice long finish. My only gripe is the price. You can get solid champagne for half that, so it needs to be a proper occasion to justify it.
Best champagne I've had this year
The guy at my local wine shop recommended this and honestly I could kiss him. It's so precise and clean, nothing feels overdone. Light at 12.5% but there's real concentration and complexity hiding in there. Already bought another bottle for my mate's birthday.
Worth every penny for a special night
Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it was absolutely stunning. Really expressive on the nose, you could smell it as soon as you poured it. The bubbles are fine and elegant and there's this lovely depth to it that kept me coming back for more. At £84.50 it's not an everyday bottle but for a celebration it's hard to beat.
