Louis Brochet Heritage Rose NV Champagne: A Toast-Worthy Cuvee
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Louis BrochetBirthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's 40th and honestly it stole the show. The bubbles are really fine and delicate, and there's this lovely biscuity thing going on that makes it feel properly fancy. At £33 it's not cheap but for a special occasion champagne it's a no-brainer. We both agreed it was better than Moët.
Cannot stop thinking about this
I don't give 10s lightly but this is genuinely one of the best champagnes I've had under £50. The citrus and brioche balance is spot on, and the finish just goes on and on with this salty, appley thing that keeps you coming back for more. Ordered another three bottles the next day.
Great find for our anniversary dinner
Picked this up after reading about it online and opened it with some smoked salmon starters. It's got this amazing chalky, clean thing going on underneath the apple and citrus flavours that just works so well with food. My husband doesn't usually notice wine but even he said this one was different. Really impressed with Louis Brochet.
Nice but bit pricey
Had this at a friend's dinner party and thought it was really good — crisp, interesting, proper champagne taste with that toasty quality. Looked it up afterwards and £33 is a bit steep for me as a regular buy though. I'd grab it for Christmas or something special but not a Tuesday night.
Solid rosé champagne
The guy at my local wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted a rosé champagne that wasn't just pink fizz. He was right — there's actual depth here, like toasted bread and a nutty quality I wasn't expecting. Could maybe do with a touch more fruit for my taste but I'd happily buy it again.
