L'Ormarins Method Cap Classique Rose NV
Rosé 12% ABV ABV L'OrmarinsNice but not sure about the price
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted a rosé sparkler for my birthday lunch. It's pleasant enough and smells really pretty, but at £18.50 I feel like there are Cremants that give you more bang for your buck. Finished the bottle no problem though so it can't be that bad.
Summer BBQ winner
Bought a case of this for a garden party and everyone loved it. It's clean and refreshing with proper depth to it — not just pink sugar water like some sparkling rosés. The finish is really clean too, no weird aftertaste. Going to be my go-to warm weather fizz.
Better than expected from SA
Had this at a restaurant and was surprised how good it was. I don't usually go for non-Champagne sparkling but this held its own. There's actual complexity there and it kept my attention through the whole glass. Tracked down a bottle to take home after, which says something.
Solid MCC rosé
I've been getting into South African Cap Classique lately and this is a decent example. Good balance of fruit and acidity, and the mousse is properly fine — not those big aggressive bubbles you get with cheap fizz. Not gonna blow your mind but it's well made and honest at £18.50.
Really impressed for the price
Picked this up from Majestic on a whim because I needed something fizzy for a girls' night. Honestly way better than I expected for under twenty quid. Really nice bubbles and it's got this lovely freshness that kept me going back for more. Would definitely buy again.
