Amira Benali VIPsAllowed - Nice but maybe a touch expensive
7/10

Look, it's a solid champagne. Clean fruit, good balance, decent finish. But at nearly sixty quid I kept thinking I could get two pretty good bottles of something else instead. If it was £45 I'd rate it higher. That said I did enjoy drinking it, so take from that what you will.

Picked this up from an online retailer on a whim. It's well made and the finish is clean — no complaints there. Just didn't blow me away the way I hoped for a premier cru champagne. The acidity is quite forward which I know some people love but it's not really my thing. Would still happily drink it again though.

Oscar Delgado VIPsAllowed - Proper champagne, no fuss
8/10

Had this at a friend's dinner party and immediately asked what it was. There's a nice acidity to it that keeps you going back for more without it being harsh. Good depth for a non-vintage — I've had pricier champagnes that were less interesting.

Tiffany Nguyen VIPsAllowed - Wow, small producer champagne is where it's at
9/10

Saw Lelarge-Pugeot mentioned on a wine forum and tracked a bottle down. This is so much more interesting than the big brand stuff at similar prices. Layers of flavour that keep changing as it warms up a bit in the glass. Already ordered more for Christmas.

Kai Oliveira VIPsAllowed - Finally a dry champagne that actually tastes good
8/10

I usually find extra brut champagnes a bit too austere and acidic for my taste but this one really works. There's enough fruit and complexity going on that the dryness feels deliberate rather than just stripped back. Served it with some smoked salmon starters and it was perfect.

Aria Kim VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

Bought this for my wife's birthday after the guy at our local wine shop recommended it. Really clean and crisp with lovely bubbles — not too sweet at all which we both prefer. At £58.50 it's not an everyday buy but for a special occasion champagne it's genuinely impressive. We finished the bottle way too fast.
