Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut Champagne: Refined Effervescence
Champagne 12% ABV ABV Laurent-PerrierClassy stuff for a dinner party
Brought this to a dinner party and everyone kept asking about it. It's really elegant without being fussy — dry and mineral-y with a creamy quality that I wasn't expecting. Definitely a step up from the usual prosecco we end up drinking. Would buy again for the right occasion.
Birthday treat that delivered
My wife got me this for my 40th and wow, it's properly good. Really dry and crisp with this lovely nutty thing going on — almost like toasted almonds. At seventy quid it's not an everyday bottle but for a special occasion it's absolutely worth it. The finish just goes on and on.
Finally get what ultra brut means
The guy at my local wine shop recommended this when I said I don't like sweet fizz. He was spot on — there's zero sugar taste, just pure crisp champagne with a bit of baked apple and some floral notes. Had it with oysters on our anniversary and it was perfect.
Nice but steep for what it is
Tried this at a friend's house and it's a solid champagne — clean, lemony, bone dry. But £70+ is a lot when you can get perfectly good fizz for half that. I'd have it again if someone else was buying but probably wouldn't grab it myself.
