Laurent-Perrier Rose NV / Happy Christmas Tin
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Laurent-PerrierReliable classic
Laurent-Perrier rosé is one of those bottles I keep coming back to. This Christmas tin version is the same great wine just in cute packaging. Clean finish, balanced acidity, and those berry notes stick around nicely. Bought three as gifts this year.
Great rosé champers but ouch the price
Picked this up for NYE and it was genuinely lovely. Really smooth with nice red fruit flavours and the finish lingers in a good way. My only gripe is £82 is a lot — I'd buy it again for a big celebration but not as a casual weekend bottle.
Converted my beer-drinking husband
Brought this to Christmas dinner and even my husband who only drinks lager said it was really good. It's not too sweet, not too dry, just right. You can taste strawberries and there's a sort of floral thing going on too. The tin makes it look like a proper present.
Proper treat
Had this at a friend's dinner party and immediately went and bought one myself. It's got this wild strawberry smell that's just gorgeous. Goes down so easily with food — we had it with salmon and it was perfect.
Best pink champagne I've had
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special for my wife's birthday. She loved it, I loved it, we fought over the last glass. Beautiful berry notes and it's dangerously drinkable at 12.5%. The tin packaging is a nice touch too.
Christmas morning winner
Got this in the Happy Christmas tin as a gift and honestly it made my whole December. The strawberry thing is real — you can actually smell it before you even take a sip. Bubbles are super fine and it just feels fancy without being stuffy. Worth every penny for a special occasion.
Saw it on a restaurant menu, tracked it down
Tried this at a restaurant last month and spent ages finding it online afterwards. It's really well balanced — fruity but not sugary, and the finish is so smooth it just makes you want another glass. Bit of a splurge at £82 but I'd say it's justified for celebrations.
Nice but not £82 nice
Look, it's a good champagne. The bubbles are lovely and delicate, and the red fruit flavours are there. But I've had rosé proseccos at a quarter of the price that made me just as happy. Maybe I'm just not fancy enough for this one.
