Laurent-Perrier La Cuvee Brut NV Champagne / Half Bottle
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Laurent-PerrierExpected more honestly
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something special but didn't need a full bottle. It's fine — clean, fizzy, tastes like green apple and lemon. But for over thirty quid for 375ml I was hoping to be blown away and I just wasn't. Would probably try something else next time at this price.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my mum's birthday because she loves Laurent-Perrier and the half bottle size is ideal since she's not a big drinker. She said it was gorgeous — peachy nose, really elegant bubbles, and a lovely clean finish. We had it with smoked salmon starters and it was spot on.
Solid but pricey for a half
Got this as part of a gift hamper and it was nice enough. Crisp and citrusy with a bit of that bready thing good champagne does. My only gripe is £31 for a half bottle feels steep — you can get a decent full bottle of prosecco for less. That said, it IS proper champagne and you can taste the difference.
Good champagne, handy size
Had this on a flight once and tracked it down to buy at home. It's a reliable champagne — nothing wild but genuinely well made. You get that nice toasty brioche flavour with bright acidity that keeps it fresh. The half bottle is great when you just fancy a glass or two without committing to a full one.
Perfect half bottle for two
Grabbed this for date night because we never finish a full bottle of champagne before it goes flat. Really lovely stuff — proper toasty smell when you pour it and those tiny bubbles just keep going. The apple and brioche thing is real, not just label nonsense. At thirty quid for a half bottle it's not cheap but Laurent-Perrier never disappoints.
