Laurent Perrier Heritage Brut NV
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Laurent PerrierThis stuff is dangerously easy to drink
Opened this on NYE and the bottle was gone in about 20 minutes between four of us. The bubbles are super fine and it just flows. There's actual flavour here too, not just acid and fizz like cheaper stuff. Already bought another bottle.
Solid champagne, nothing wild
Saw this on a restaurant menu and figured I'd grab a bottle from the shop instead. It's well made and has a nice long finish but I wasn't blown away for the price. Perfectly good champagne, just not sure it stands out from others around this level.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my 40th and it was absolutely worth it. The bubbles are so fine and elegant, and it's got this lovely fresh quality that kept me going back for another glass. Probably the best champagne I've had outside of a restaurant.
Reliable for a reason
Laurent Perrier is always solid and this doesn't disappoint. Really well balanced with nice fruit and a clean finish that goes on for ages. Not cheap at £72 but you're getting proper champagne here, not just fizz.
My go-to champagne now
I'm not hugely into wine but I know what I like, and this is it. It's fresh without being sharp, there's some proper depth to the flavour in the middle, and it doesn't leave a weird aftertaste. Bit of a splurge but I keep coming back to it for special occasions.
Perfect with seafood
Brought this to a dinner party where the host made oysters and prawns. Honestly couldn't have picked a better match — the acidity cuts right through and the freshness is spot on. Got loads of compliments on the bottle choice which is always nice.
Good but is it £72 good?
Had this at a friend's dinner party and it was nice — crisp, fresh, decent complexity. But honestly at that price point I'd probably reach for a good Crémant most of the time. Save it for when you really want to treat yourself.
The wine shop guy was right
Went in looking for something for our anniversary and the guy behind the counter steered me to this. Really glad he did. It's got a freshness to it that's hard to describe but makes it incredibly drinkable. My wife loved it too.
