Laurent-Perrier 2015 Vintage Champagne / Magnum / Gift Box
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Laurent-PerrierLovely but I expected a bit more
Got this as a birthday present and it's a really solid champagne — nice stone fruit flavours and a proper toasty warmth that I love. My only gripe is that for nearly £180 I was hoping to be completely blown away, and while it's excellent it didn't quite hit that level for me. Still leagues ahead of most champagne I've had though, and the gift box presentation is spot on.
Best champagne I've ever had
The guy at our local wine shop talked me into splashing out on this for New Year's and I'm so glad he did. Absolutely beautiful — smooth, complex, loads of depth but easy to drink at the same time. Shared it between six of us from the magnum and everyone was raving about it. I don't know much about vintage champagne but this has set the bar impossibly high.
Worth every penny for a special night
Bought the magnum in the gift box for our 10th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. Really toasty and biscuity with gorgeous ripe fruit — we kept saying how good it was all evening. The bubbles are super fine and it just feels luxurious without being stuffy. At £179 for a magnum it's not cheap but honestly for a milestone occasion I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Seriously impressive stuff
Had this at a friend's dinner party and immediately needed to know what it was. There's a lovely balance to it — fruity but not sweet, toasty but not heavy, and the finish just goes on and on without being overbearing. I've been buying Laurent-Perrier rosé for years but this 2015 vintage is on another level. Treated myself to a bottle and it's just as good the second time round.
