La Chaume Des Lies Bouzeron Aligote 2021
Red 14% ABV ABV La Chaume Des LiesNice but a bit steep
Bought this for a dinner party and it went down well. Good acidity, decent structure, builds nicely as you drink it. At £36.50 though I'd probably reach for something else day-to-day. Special occasion wine for me.
Really impressed with this one
Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it. Really expressive on the nose — you can tell it's proper Burgundy straight away. It's got weight to it at 14% but doesn't feel boozy at all. Had it with a roast chicken and it was spot on.
One of the best I've had this year
Saw this on a restaurant menu and took a chance on it. So glad I did. The complexity just keeps building as you drink it and the finish goes on forever. Tracked down a bottle to buy for home the next week. Absolutely loved it.
Lovely Burgundy find
Been getting into Burgundy lately and this was a great pick. The finish is really clean and lingers in a nice way without being over the top. Fruit is ripe but balanced — not jammy at all. Would definitely buy again.
Solid but not a showstopper
Got this as a birthday present and it's a perfectly good wine. Structured and well-made, carries its alcohol well. I just expected a bit more wow factor for the price if I'm honest. The nose is probably the best part — really open and inviting.
