Kellerei Terlan Quarz Sauvignon Blanc 2023
White 12% ABV ABV TerlanTerlan know what they're doing
I've had a few Terlan wines now and they're consistently quality. This Quarz is really focused — you can tell the grape is doing the talking, not a load of oak or winemaking tricks. Lingering finish too. Not cheap but I'd buy it again for a special occasion.
Italian whites are so underrated
The guy at my local wine shop recommended this and I'm glad he did. It's from Alto Adige which apparently does amazing whites. Really structured and balanced, not heavy at all at 12%. Goes brilliantly with seafood pasta.
Nice wine, wouldn't rush to rebuy
Picked this up for a dinner party because the label looked classy. It's definitely well made — smooth finish and good depth. But at this price point I think there are Sauv Blancs that give you more bang for your buck. My guests enjoyed it though.
Good but steep price
Had this at a restaurant in Edinburgh and it was lovely — really precise and focused flavours. But then I looked it up and saw it's nearly £65 a bottle. For that money I'd probably want a bit more wow factor honestly. Still a solid wine though.
Proper nice Sauv Blanc
Bought this for my wife's birthday dinner and we both loved it. Really clean and crisp, none of that overpowering grassy thing you get with cheaper Sauvignon Blancs. The finish just hangs around in the best way. Pricey at £65 but felt like a treat.
Obsessed with this wine
Tried this at a tasting event and immediately tracked down a bottle. It's so clean and expressive without being showy. The acid keeps everything lively and it just builds and builds as you drink it. Already ordered two more.
Perfect summer evening wine
Light and nimble, exactly what I want on a warm evening. No heaviness whatsoever. The acidity is spot on and keeps you coming back for another sip. Had it with some grilled fish and it was a great match.
