On the Nose and Palate

The nose offers complex aromas of baked apple, biscuit, and candied citrus peel over a mineral backbone. Moving to the palate, the wine is precise and focused, with lemon curd, green apple, and a chalky texture that drives the palate. The finish is lengthy and complex, showing pastry, stone fruit, and a refreshing chalky bite.

Tariq Hassan VIPsAllowed - Nice enough fizz
6/10

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and thought why not. It's dry and kind of biscuity with green apple coming through. Bubbles are really delicate which was nice. Not bad at all but probably wouldn't seek it out to buy a bottle for home.

Ravi Krishnan VIPsAllowed - Good but not £75 good
5/10

Had this at a friend's house and it was nice enough — crisp apple flavours and a dry chalky finish that I quite liked. But honestly for seventy-five quid I expected to be more blown away. I've had Champagnes at half the price that excited me more.

8/10

I'm not usually a Champagne person but picked this up for a dinner party and wow. The texture is almost creamy and chalky at the same time, and there's this lemon curd flavour that's just gorgeous. Everyone commented on it. At £75 it's not cheap but it genuinely stood out from other fizz I've tried.

Jackson Wu VIPsAllowed - Solid Champagne, nothing wrong with it
6/10

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something a bit different from the usual Moët. It's 100% Pinot Noir which gives it a bit more weight. The biscuity smell is gorgeous and there's a lemony thing going on that keeps it fresh. Decent but I'm not sure I'd rush to buy it again at that price.

7/10

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and it was lovely. You get this baked apple thing on the nose that's really inviting, and the bubbles are super fine — not harsh at all. Felt like a proper treat at £75 but I'd save it for occasions.

Tried this after reading about it online. It's fine — smells like baked apples and pastry, tastes dry and appley. But for a 2012 vintage Champagne at this price point I wanted something that really grabbed me and it just didn't. The finish is nice and long though, I'll give it that.

Simon Hughes VIPsAllowed - Classy birthday bubbles
7/10

Got this as a birthday present and glad I did. There's a lovely orange peel note and the finish goes on forever — proper dry and chalky in a good way. Felt very grown-up drinking it, if that makes sense. Would definitely have again.
