Sophie Brennan VIPsAllowed - Interesting but takes a minute
7/10

Not gonna lie, the first sip I wasn't sure — it's so dry it almost caught me off guard. But by the second glass it really opened up and I started noticing all these layers of flavour coming through. My partner preferred something sweeter but I ended up really enjoying it. Would maybe share a bottle rather than buying a whole one for yourself unless you know you like this style.

Natalie Ford VIPsAllowed - Wow, this is serious champagne
9/10

Picked this up for my wife's 40th and it was a real showstopper. Bone dry with zero dosage so there's nothing hiding the actual flavour — you get this lovely crisp acidity and real depth that kept me going back for more. At nearly seventy quid it's not cheap but for a special occasion it felt worth every penny.

Tiffany Nguyen VIPsAllowed - Really good but not sure about the price
7/10

The guy at my local wine shop recommended this as something a bit different — 100% Pinot Meunier which apparently isn't that common for champagne. It's dry, like properly dry, and has a sort of firm structure that I liked. Tasty stuff but £68 is a lot when you can get solid champagne for half that.

I've been getting into zero dosage champagnes lately and this Jean-Marc Charpentier is up there with the best I've tried. Really clean finish that just lingers nicely, and at 12.5% it doesn't hit you too hard either. Had it with some oysters on a Saturday night and it was perfect.
