Suki Patel VIPsAllowed - Nice but maybe not £55 nice
7/10

Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it. It's good — properly dry, interesting layers of flavour, and the finish hangs around which I liked. But at nearly £55 a bottle I think I expected a bit more wow factor. Would probably buy again if it was on offer.

Rosa Paredes VIPsAllowed - Stole the show at dinner
8/10

Brought this to a dinner party and everyone kept asking about it. It's a Blanc de Noirs so all red grapes but makes a white champagne, which was a fun talking point. Clean, balanced, not sweet at all — the extra brut style really lets you taste what's actually going on. Goes brilliantly with cheese and charcuterie.

Annika Svensson VIPsAllowed - Proper champagne, not just fizz
8/10

I'm still learning about wine but even I could tell this was a cut above the usual prosecco and cava I drink. There's actual depth to it, fruit and acidity working together, and it doesn't just disappear after you swallow. Jean-Marc Charpentier is a name I'll remember. 12.5% ABV so not too heavy for a long afternoon either.

Kwame Mensah VIPsAllowed - Birthday treat that delivered
9/10

My wife got me this for my 40th and honestly it was the highlight of the night. Really expressive nose — you can tell straight away it's made from red grapes even though it's a white champagne. Bone dry which I love, and it just kept giving with every sip. At £55 it's not cheap but for a special occasion it's worth every penny.
