Jean-Marc Charpentier Terre d'Emotion BdB NV Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Jean-Marc CharpentierSolid grower champagne
I've been getting into grower champagnes lately and this Terre d'Emotion is a great example of why. You can taste the care that's gone into it — bright, structured, with a finish that lingers nicely without being heavy. At 12.5% it's easy drinking too. Had it with some goat's cheese and it was perfect.
Birthday treat that delivered
My wife got me this for my birthday and wow, really glad she did. It's got this lovely freshness to it with layers of flavour that keep coming — I kept noticing new things with every sip. At £63 it's not an everyday bottle but for a celebration it's absolutely worth it.
Nice but steep for NV
Picked this up from a local wine merchant who recommended it. It's good champagne, proper clean finish and well balanced acidity, but I'm not sure it's £63 good when you can get solid NV champagne for £40. Would probably buy again if it was on offer though.
Went down a storm at dinner
Brought this to a dinner party and everyone was asking about it. Really inviting on the nose, not one of those champagnes that smells like nothing. The bubbles are fine and it's got a sort of quiet complexity to it that surprised me. Jean-Marc Charpentier is a name I'll remember.
