Priya Sharma VIPsAllowed - Very nice but maybe overhyped?
7/10

Everyone raves about Lassaigne and I can see why it's good — the balance is there and the finish is clean. But for nearly £200 I expected to be blown away and I just thought it was very solid rather than life-changing. Maybe I need to try it again with food.

Penelope Hart VIPsAllowed - Really good but hard to justify the price

Tried this at a wine bar after the sommelier recommended it. It's lovely — balanced, clean finish, proper structured champagne. But £199 is a lot and I'm not sure it's twice as good as a £100 bottle. Would happily drink it again if someone else is buying though.

Bought this for our anniversary and wow, it did not disappoint. Really clean and precise on the nose, none of that heavy bready thing you get with some champagnes. The acidity keeps it fresh without being sharp and it just keeps going on the finish. At £199 it's a treat but the magnum format makes it feel like an event.

Omar Diallo VIPsAllowed - Best champagne I've had full stop
10/10

My mate brought this to a dinner party and I've been thinking about it since. There's a depth to it that unfolds the longer you sit with it — not trying too hard, just genuinely complex. I'm not usually a £200 champagne person but I get it now.

Liam Anderson VIPsAllowed - Classy stuff, needs the right occasion
8/10

Had a glass at a tasting and ended up buying a bottle. It's definitely serious champagne — well balanced with a really clean nose and good acidity. Not really a casual Tuesday night wine at this price point but for celebrations it's hard to beat. The magnum ageing clearly does something because it's incredibly harmonious.

Picked this up for my dad's 60th. He's more of a beer guy but even he said this was special. The fruit is there but it's not sweet at all, and there's this quiet persistence on the finish that makes you slow down. Went perfectly with the roast chicken we had.
