Jacquart Brut Mosaique Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV JacquartSolid champagne, no complaints
The guy at Majestic recommended this when I said I wanted something decent but not Dom Perignon prices. It's clean and citrusy with a nice dry finish. Good bubbles, nothing too sweet. Does exactly what you want a champagne to do.
New go-to celebration fizz
Bought this for my wife's birthday dinner and we both loved it. Really biscuity smell when you pour it, and the bubbles are super fine — not aggressive like some cheaper stuff. At £42 it's not cheap but honestly it drinks like something more expensive. Will definitely be buying again.
Genuinely impressed
I'm not usually a champagne person — I find a lot of them a bit harsh — but this one changed my mind a bit. It's really well balanced, citrus fruits without being too tart, and the bubbles are creamy rather than fizzy if that makes sense. Bought a second bottle the same week which says it all really.
Nice but maybe a touch pricey
Had this at a friend's house and it was pleasant enough — lemony, dry, easy to drink. But for £43 I think you can find proseccos and cavas that get you 80% of the way there for half the price. If someone else is buying though, I wouldn't say no.
Great with nibbles
We cracked this open on NYE with some smoked salmon and it was perfect. Lovely biscuity taste and really refreshing acidity that cuts through richer food. The finish is smooth too, no weird aftertaste. Proper champagne without being ridiculously expensive.
