Henriot Cuvée Hemera 2013 Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV HenriotThe real deal
I've been slowly working through different prestige cuvées and the Henriot Hemera 2013 is right up there. What I love is how it unfolds — first sip is great but by glass two it's opened up into something really complex. The balance between the fruit and the acidity is just right. Henriot don't get enough credit.
Good but maybe overhyped?
Got this as a birthday present and it's definitely nice champagne, don't get me wrong. Really well structured and the finish is lovely and long. I just expected to be completely blown away at this price point and it was more like quietly impressed. Still very good though.
Really impressive but pricey
Tried this at a restaurant after the sommelier recommended it. It's genuinely complex and beautifully balanced, way more interesting than your typical champagne. But at £150 a bottle I'd have to think hard about buying it again when there are solid options at half the price.
Blew my mind at a tasting
Went to a champagne tasting event and this was the clear standout. There's a real depth to it that most champagnes just don't have. Clean, precise, and the acidity is spot on. The 2013 vintage has clearly had time to develop into something special.
Best champagne I've ever had
My sister brought this to Christmas dinner and I'm still thinking about it months later. It's got so much going on — layers of flavour that kept changing as it opened up. The finish just hangs around forever in the best way. I need to find another bottle.
Worth every penny for a special night
Bought this for our 10th wedding anniversary and wow, it delivered. The bubbles are super fine and there's this mineral quality that just keeps pulling you back for another sip. At £150 it's not an everyday thing obviously, but for a big occasion? Absolutely worth it.
Made our dinner party
Served this at a dinner party with about eight friends and every single person commented on it. It's got this confident, expressive nose that grabs you immediately and the taste backs it up completely. Even my mate who normally just drinks beer was impressed. Already ordered two more bottles.
Bit much for my wallet
Picked this up for New Year's after reading some reviews online. It's elegant and there's definitely something going on with the mineral notes that makes it stand out. But honestly I'm not sure I can tell the difference between this and a £70 bottle enough to justify the gap. Nice treat though.
