Henriot Brut Millesime 2014 Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV HenriotA step up from the usual
We normally stick to Moët or Veuve but tried this on a whim. Definitely a different level — more depth, less of that sweet thing you get with the big brands. The nose opens up loads if you give it a few minutes. Really lovely stuff.
Good not great at this price
Picked this up for an anniversary dinner. It's clean, balanced, and the bubbles are really fine which I liked. Decent length on the finish too. I just feel like at nearly £70 I was expecting to be completely blown away, and it was more of a slow burner than a showstopper.
The wine shop guy nailed it
Asked for a vintage champagne recommendation and got pointed to this Henriot 2014. Really glad I listened. It's complex without being fussy, and the finish just lingers nicely. Already planning to grab another bottle for Christmas.
Nice but steep for a weeknight
Had this at a friend's dinner party and really enjoyed it. Good structure, proper acidity, not too fruity — feels like a grown-up champagne. Would I pay £69 myself though? Probably only for a special occasion.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my 40th and it was worth every penny. The bubbles are super fine and elegant, and it just kept getting better the longer it sat in the glass. Seriously impressed — felt like a proper celebration drink.
