Henriot Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV HenriotThis is the one
Had this at a restaurant last month and immediately tracked down a bottle for home. It's all Chardonnay grapes apparently which gives it that really elegant, light feel. The chalky mineral thing sounds wanky but you genuinely taste it. Absolutely loved it.
Perfect NYE fizz
Saw Henriot mentioned on a wine blog and grabbed a bottle for New Year's. So glad I did — it's really well balanced, not too sweet, not too sharp. There's a lovely little toasted almond note right at the end that keeps you coming back for another sip.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's birthday and we were both really impressed. Lovely bubbles, not too aggressive, and there's this nice toasty bread thing going on underneath the citrus. At fifty quid it's not cheap but it felt properly special.
Nice but maybe a touch overpriced
It's good champagne, don't get me wrong. Fresh citrus, fine bubbles, all that. But at nearly £50 I think you can find similar quality for a tenner less. That said I did finish the bottle pretty quickly so make of that what you will.
Great for a dinner party
Picked up two bottles for a dinner party and they went down a storm. Really refreshing with a lemony brightness to it, plus those tiny bubbles that just keep going. Several guests asked me where I got it.
Decent but not blowing my mind
I've been trying to get into champagne beyond the big names and this was a decent shout. Quite dry and citrusy with a bit of brioche flavour. Nice enough but I expected a bit more wow factor at this price point honestly.
Solid champagne for the price
The guy at Majestic recommended this when I said I wanted something a step up from Moët. He was right — it's crisp and clean with a bit of almond on the finish that I really liked. Would definitely buy again for a nice meal at home.
