Henri Giraud Esprit Nature Champagne / Half Bottle
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Henri GiraudExpected more honestly
Bought this for a dinner party starter and it was fine but didn't blow me away. Clean and refreshing sure, but for what you're paying I wanted a bit more wow factor. My guests enjoyed it though so maybe I'm being harsh.
Good stuff, nice gift size
Picked up two of these as stocking fillers at Christmas. They went down well — clean, lively, and a bit more interesting than your average champagne. The half bottle size is actually perfect for a gift. Not an everyday buy at that price but solid for occasions.
Best half bottle I've had
Saw Henri Giraud on a menu once and loved it so tracked down this half bottle online. The fruit is so focused and confident, it genuinely tastes like proper grower champagne. Yes it's £33 for a small bottle but the quality is there. Perfect when you want something special but don't need a full 750ml.
Solid champagne, great with food
Had this with some smoked salmon starters at a birthday dinner. The acidity really cuts through richer food which I loved. It's balanced and interesting without being try-hard. Would buy again if I spotted it.
Really impressed
I usually stick to prosecco but my partner got me this for my birthday and wow, you can taste why champagne costs more. There's real depth to it, layers of flavour that keep building. The bubbles are fine and elegant too. Might have converted me.
Lovely little half bottle
Grabbed this as a treat for myself on a Friday night and it was genuinely impressive. Really expressive, loads of character in the bubbles — not just generic fizz. For a half bottle at £33 it's not cheap but honestly felt worth it for a solo celebration.
Nice but pricey for a half
Got this recommended by the guy at my local wine shop. It's good champagne, proper crisp acidity and decent complexity, but £33 for a half bottle is a lot. I'd probably buy a full bottle of something else at that price point unless I was treating myself.
Punches above its weight
I don't know loads about champagne but I know what I like, and this was really good. It's got this intensity to it that makes it feel special — not just bubbles for the sake of bubbles. The finish keeps going too, kept wanting another sip.
