Helene Beaugrand Le Rose Henriette Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Helene BeaugrandDinner party hit
Served this as an aperitif before a roast and everyone loved it. It's the kind of champagne that makes you slow down and actually pay attention to what you're drinking. Really expressive on the nose and the acidity cuts through perfectly. Felt fancy without being pretentious.
Good not great
Had this at a friend's dinner party and thought it was solid. Pretty and well made with a nice clean finish. Wouldn't rush out to buy a bottle myself at that price point though — I think there are rosé champagnes around £45-50 that get you 90% of the way there.
Best rosé champagne I've had in ages
I've been slowly working my way through different rosé champagnes and this is up there with the best. The fruit is there but it's not sweet or jammy — everything feels really deliberate and balanced. 12.5% ABV keeps it light enough to have a couple of glasses without feeling it too much.
Proper grower champagne
Picked this up after reading about grower champagnes and wanting to try one instead of the usual big house stuff. It's really precise and well balanced — you can tell someone who knows their vines made this. The finish just lingers nicely without being heavy. Would definitely buy again.
Birthday treat that delivered
Got this for my wife's 40th and we were both blown away. Really crisp and clean with loads of flavour that kept changing as we drank it. At nearly £70 it's not an everyday buy but for a special occasion rosé champagne? Worth every penny.
Wine shop recommendation came through
The guy at my local recommended this when I said I wanted something different from Moët for our anniversary dinner. So glad I listened. It's got this quiet confidence to it — not showy at all but really layered and interesting. My partner who usually doesn't care about wine even commented on it.
Nice but bit steep
Lovely champagne, don't get me wrong. Clean, structured, proper acidity. But nearly 70 quid is a lot when you can get solid rosé champagne for 40-50. I'd maybe wait for a special occasion rather than cracking this open on a random Tuesday.
