Lena Petrova VIPsAllowed - Bit pricey for what it is
7/10

My partner got this for my birthday. It's perfectly fine Champagne — clean, well made, nice bright acidity. But I've had similar quality for £10-15 less. The nose is quite forward which I liked, but it didn't completely justify the price tag for me.

Poured a glass before dinner and thought yeah, this is nice. By the second glass I was genuinely impressed — it just opens up and gets more interesting. The finish lingers in a really lovely way. Premier Cru NV at this price is a steal honestly.

Ingrid Holm VIPsAllowed - Proper Champagne this
9/10

Bought this for our anniversary and honestly it was the star of the evening. Really expressive on the nose straight away, none of that 'wait 20 minutes for it to open up' business. Second glass was even better than the first which never happens with fizz at this price. Would absolutely buy again.

Gianluca Ferro VIPsAllowed - Nice but not mindblowing
7/10

Decent Champagne, don't get me wrong. Clean finish, pleasant enough to drink. But at nearly fifty quid I was expecting a bit more wow factor. It's good, just not sure it's £47 good when you can get solid Crémant for half that.

The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something a bit special but not crazy expensive. Went down brilliantly with everyone at the table. Bright and fresh but with some real complexity to it. Few people asked me where I got it which is always a good sign!

Aiko Tanaka VIPsAllowed - Solid grower Champagne
8/10

Guy Méa is one of those small producers that doesn't get enough attention. This has genuine depth through the middle — ripe fruit but not overdone, good acidity keeping it fresh. At £47 it's competing with some big names and honestly holding its own. Really well-made stuff.

Isabella Rossi VIPsAllowed - Surprisingly good with food
8/10

Had this with roast chicken and it was perfect. Not too heavy, not too light. Really balanced with enough going on to keep it interesting through a whole meal. At 12.5% it's easy drinking too — we got through the bottle faster than planned ha.

Jason Steel VIPsAllowed - Better than the big brands
8/10

I normally just grab Moët or Veuve because I don't really know Champagne that well, but this was recommended on a forum and I'm glad I tried it. Way more flavour and character than the usual suspects. The fruit and acidity are really well balanced. Will be exploring more grower Champagnes now.
