Gutierrez Colosia Amontillado Seco
Red 14% ABV ABV Gutierrez ColosiaGot me into sherry
I'd never really tried proper sherry before this. A mate poured me a glass and I was genuinely surprised how dry and complex it is — loads of layers but still really easy to drink. The 14% ABV sneaks up on you though, fair warning!
Really interesting sherry
Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop recommended it. Really dry and savoury — not what I expected from a sherry at all. Had it slightly chilled with some almonds and olives and it was perfect. Will definitely buy again.
Nice but a bit steep
Got this for a tapas night at home. It's good, proper dry with some nutty complexity going on, but £29.50 feels a bit much for an everyday sherry. I'd grab it on offer but probably wouldn't pay full price again.
Great dinner party find
Brought this to a friend's dinner party and everyone was impressed. It's got this lovely savoury thing going on with a clean finish that doesn't hang around too long. Works surprisingly well with cheese and cured meats.
