Graham's Six Grapes Reserve Port
Fortified 20% ABV ABV GrahamsDecent but not blown away
It's fine? Like it's a perfectly good port but I've had better for similar money. The plum flavours are nice and it's smooth enough, but I was expecting a bit more complexity given the hype. Would drink it again but wouldn't rush out to buy another bottle.
Best port at this price
I've tried a LOT of ports in the £15-25 range and this is right up there. The dark fruit is proper and concentrated, the finish goes on forever, and there's a spiciness that keeps it interesting. Saw it on a restaurant menu years ago and have been buying it since. Absolute belter.
Perfect after-dinner port
Bought this for a dinner party and it was the star of the evening. Really rich dark fruit flavours, plum and berries, and it goes down dangerously easy for 20%. At under twenty quid it's a solid buy — we finished the bottle before anyone noticed.
Christmas in a glass
Picked this up for my dad's birthday and we ended up fighting over the last pour. The berry and spice notes remind me of Christmas pudding in the best way. Honestly can't believe how smooth it is at 20% — you really don't feel the alcohol. Will be stocking up for December.
Solid everyday port
I'm still pretty new to port but I keep coming back to this one. It's fruity without being too sweet and has a lovely warm finish that lingers. At £18 it's not an impulse buy for me but it feels worth it for a Friday night treat with some stilton.
Good honest port
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something for cheese nights. It's well balanced and not too sweet, which I appreciate. You can taste the dark fruit and there's a nice warmth at the end. Does what it says on the tin.
Nice with chocolate
My partner and I split a bottle with some dark chocolate brownies and it was a great combo. The ripe berry flavours work really well with chocolate. It's quite rich so we didn't need loads — half a bottle between two was plenty. Would buy again for a cosy night in.
