Graham's Late Bottled Vintage 2020 Port: Rich Heritage in a Glass
Fortified 20% ABV ABV GrahamsGreat with cheese after dinner
The guy at Majestic recommended this and I'm glad he did. Really rich and warming with a nice orange marmalade thing going on that stops it being too heavy. We had it with stilton and it was perfect. 20% ABV sneaks up on you though!
Birthday treat that delivered
Got this as part of a birthday hamper and honestly it was the highlight. The dried fruit and spice on the finish just goes on and on. I don't know much about port but this one really impressed me — rich and complex without being overwhelming.
Nice but not amazing
It's fine. Sweet and raisiny like you'd expect from a port, and the coffee notes are nice. But for nearly £17 I was hoping for something a bit more special — felt like it didn't quite justify the price when there are cheaper LBVs out there.
Decent everyday port
Picked this up to have something on the shelf for after dinner. It's sweet but not sickly, and there's a nice dry finish that keeps you sipping. Not the most exciting port I've ever had but it does the job well enough.
Proper Christmas in a glass
Bought this for a dinner party and it went down a treat. Massive Christmas cake vibes on the nose, and the toffee and raisin flavours are lovely. At under £17 it's a solid port that I'd happily buy again.
Solid but wouldn't rush to rebuy
Had this at a friend's place and thought it was pretty good. Lots of dark toffee and raisin, and I liked the slightly bitter coffee edge. My only gripe is it's a touch too sweet for my taste — I prefer something drier. Still, Graham's clearly know what they're doing.
