Gosset Grand Rose Brut NV Champagne / Magnum
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV GossetReally lovely rosé Champagne
Had this at a friend's wedding and immediately went and tracked down a bottle. It's got a proper depth to it — not one of those wishy-washy pink fizzes. The finish lingers nicely and there's genuine complexity in every sip. Only knocking a point off because at that price I'd want to save it for occasions rather than cracking it open on a Tuesday.
Impressive but a bit steep
The guy at my local wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something special for Christmas. It IS really good — expressive nose, well balanced, and drinks beautifully. But £164 is a lot and I've had Champagnes at half the price that I've enjoyed nearly as much. Would I buy it again? Maybe for a really big occasion.
The best pink Champagne I've tried
My wife got me this as a birthday present and wow. I'm not usually a rosé Champagne person but this completely changed my mind. There's so much going on — layers of fruit, a lovely clean acidity, and a finish that just goes on and on. The magnum format seems to make everything more rounded and harmonious somehow. Already planning to order another one.
Worth every penny for a special night
Bought the magnum for our anniversary dinner and it was absolutely stunning. The bubbles are fine and delicate, and there's this beautiful balance of fruit and crispness that just keeps you coming back for more. At £164 for a magnum it's not cheap, but honestly for Gosset quality in this format I think it's fair. We finished the whole thing between four of us and nobody wanted it to end.
