Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs Brut NV
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV GossetGood but bit steep for NV
Look, it's a nice champagne. Clean, crisp, well-made. But nearly £76 for a non-vintage? I've had Blanc de Blancs at £50 that gave me a similar experience. It's good, just not sure the premium is justified when there's strong competition at lower prices.
Nice but didn't blow me away
Picked this up for New Year's after reading good things online. It's definitely quality stuff — clean, elegant, fine bubbles. But at this price point I was expecting to be wowed and it was more of a quiet understated thing. My partner preferred it to me though, said it was more sophisticated than what we usually grab. Fair enough.
Classy without being showy
Had this at a restaurant and liked it so much I tracked down a bottle. What I really enjoy is that it's not trying too hard — just really precise and clean with lovely persistent bubbles. The acidity is spot on, keeps everything fresh without being sharp. One of those champagnes that's easy to drink but clearly well made.
New favourite champagne
I'm still fairly new to exploring champagne beyond the big names but wow, Gosset really impressed me here. It's all Chardonnay and you can tell — really pure and focused. The finish just lingers in the best way. Treating myself to another bottle for our anniversary next month.
Birthday treat that delivered
Got this as a birthday present to myself and honestly no regrets. Really elegant bubbles, not aggressive like some champagnes, and there's this lovely clean freshness that just keeps you sipping. At £75 it's not cheap but it felt special enough for the occasion.
Solid champagne for a dinner party
Brought this to a friend's dinner party after the guy at the wine shop recommended it. Everyone commented on how smooth and balanced it was. The bubbles are super fine and it's got a nice depth to it that surprised me for a non-vintage. Would buy again for sure.
