Girard-Bonnet A Mi Chemin Grand Cru Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV Girard-BonnetProper Champagne, not just fizz
This is the kind of bottle that made me realise there's a difference between Champagne and just sparkling wine. Really expressive on the nose and there's actual layers of flavour going on. Had it with some fish and chips on a Friday night and honestly it was perfect.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both really impressed. Loads of depth and complexity for a grower Champagne at this price. The acidity keeps it fresh and lively — we demolished the bottle before the cake was even cut.
Great find for a dinner party
Picked this up for a dinner party and got loads of compliments. It's got a lovely structure to it and the finish is really clean — doesn't just fizzle out like cheaper stuff does. At 12.5% it's easy drinking too, which is dangerous when it tastes this good.
Nice but not sure it's £60 nice
Got this on a recommendation from a shop in Hitchin. It's good, properly well-made stuff with a clean finish, but at sixty quid I keep comparing it to some Crémants I've had for half the price. Would I buy it again? Maybe for a special occasion.
