Gallimard Les Riceys Rose Brut Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV GallimardRosé Champagne convert
I don't usually go for rosé Champagne but a friend brought this round and I'm glad she did. It's expressive and interesting without being try-hard, if that makes sense. The finish lingers in a really pleasant way. At 12.5% it's easy drinking too — dangerous honestly, the bottle didn't last long between the three of us.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's birthday after the guy at our local wine shop recommended it. Really lovely stuff — the bubbles are fine and it's got this gorgeous fruity nose that hits you as soon as you pour. At £39 it's not cheap but honestly for a proper Champagne that tastes this good, I think it's fair. We finished the bottle before dinner was even ready.
Proper Champagne vibes
Saw this on a menu at a wine bar and liked it so much I tracked down a bottle. What I love is that it doesn't taste sugary like some Champagnes — the fruit and the acidity are really nicely balanced. Keeps pulling you back for another sip. Great with some charcuterie on a Friday night.
Nice but maybe a touch pricey
Picked this up for a dinner party and it went down well enough. It's balanced and clean with decent fruit, nothing too sweet or overdone. I just feel like for nearly £40 I was expecting something that blew me away a bit more? Good Champagne, just not sure I'd buy it again when there are solid options for less.
