Furleigh Estate Rose NV
Rosé 12% ABV ABV Furleigh EstateProper English fizz
Picked this up at a local wine fair and honestly wasn't expecting much from an English rosé. But wow — really lovely stuff. Clean and fresh with proper depth to it, not just some wishy-washy pink water. Worth the price if you want something special.
Great for a summer dinner party
Bought two bottles for a garden party and they went down a treat. Nice acidity that cuts through food really well — we had it with salmon and it was perfect. At nearly £39 it's not an everyday wine but it feels like a proper occasion bottle.
Lovely find
Saw this on a menu at a restaurant in Dorset and liked it so much I tracked down a bottle to take home. Fresh and expressive on the nose, and the finish is really clean and elegant. At 12% it's easy drinking too — dangerous really!
Nice but steep for rosé
The wine itself is genuinely good — well balanced, interesting layers, lovely clean finish. But I keep coming back to the price. Nearly forty quid for a rosé is a big ask, even if it is English sparkling quality. Would buy again on offer.
Converted me to English wine
I'll be honest, I used to think English wine was a bit of a joke. A friend brought this to dinner and I had to eat my words. Seriously elegant, proper structure, and that finish just keeps going. Furleigh Estate clearly know what they're doing.
Birthday treat that delivered
My wife got me this for my birthday after the guy in our local wine shop recommended it. Really impressed — it's got this gorgeous clarity to it, smells amazing and drinks beautifully. Not your average rosé at all.
Sunday roast winner
Opened this with a roast chicken last Sunday and it was bang on. Really liked how it's got some weight to it without being heavy — you can actually taste stuff happening rather than just generic pink wine flavour. Will definitely grab another bottle.
Decent but I expected more
Had this at a tasting evening and thought it was solid — good acidity, nice and clean, pleasant enough. But for the price point I wanted to be blown away and I wasn't quite. It's good wine, just not sure it's £39 good for me personally.
