Really impressed with this one
Picked this up from our local wine shop on a whim and glad I did. Really clean and fresh with a nice bit of depth to it — not just another boring white. At £15.75 it's become my go-to for when we have people over for dinner.

Birthday dinner winner
My wife got this for my birthday meal and it was gorgeous with the seafood pasta. Really aromatic when you pour it, and it just kept giving — the finish sort of lingers in a nice way. Would absolutely buy again.

Great summer wine
Had this chilled in the garden last weekend and it was lovely. Fresh and clean but with enough going on to keep it interesting. Not your basic supermarket white — you can tell there's a bit more care gone into making it.

Nice but a touch pricey
It's a perfectly good wine, don't get me wrong. Clean, well-made, decent finish. But nearly £16 for a Picpoul? I've had bottles at £10 that were almost as enjoyable. Would buy again on offer though.

Solid Picpoul
I've had a few Picpoul de Pinets and this is up there. Good acidity, nice balance, and it doesn't taste thin like some cheaper ones do. The 14% ABV gives it a bit more body than I expected which I actually liked.

The wine shop guy was right
Asked for something interesting under £20 and the guy in the shop recommended this Font-Mars Picpoul. He was spot on. Bright aromatics, really well balanced, and the finish just keeps going. One of those wines where you look down and your glass is empty.

Good with food, a bit strong on its own
Saw this on a restaurant menu and ordered a bottle. Lovely with our fish but when I tried it on its own at home it felt quite full-on at 14%. That said the flavours are proper and the quality is obvious. Just make sure you've got some food to go with it.

Expected more honestly
Maybe I was expecting too much based on the price tag. It's fine — clean and drinkable — but I didn't get much complexity from it. My partner enjoyed it more than me so maybe it's just personal taste. Wouldn't rush to buy it again.
