Eugenio Rosi Riflesso Rosi 2022
Red 14% ABV ABV Eugenio RosiReally impressed with this one
Picked this up from a local wine shop on the guy's recommendation and glad I did. Really expressive nose, you can smell it as soon as you pour. Lovely balance to it — fruity but not jammy, and the acidity keeps it fresh. Would definitely buy again.
Good with food, less exciting on its own
Opened this with a big pasta bake and it was great — the acidity cuts right through rich food. On its own I found it a bit serious? Like it needs something to go with it. Still a quality bottle though.
Birthday treat that delivered
Got this as a birthday present for myself because I love trying smaller Italian producers. The layers in this really develop as you drink it — second glass was even better than the first. That lingering finish had me going back for more. Proper grown-up wine.
Absolute gem from Eugenio Rosi
I've been slowly getting into wines from Trentino and this is a standout. Beautifully composed, good weight without being heavy, and the fruit is so well defined. The finish just goes on and on. At £25 this is honestly a steal for what you're getting.
Nice enough, nothing wrong with it
Saw this on a restaurant wine list and ordered it because I didn't recognise it. Pleasant surprise — smooth, well balanced, clean finish. Not the most memorable wine I've ever had but I enjoyed drinking it. Would order again if I spotted it.
Solid Italian red
Had this at a friend's dinner party and thought it was pretty good. Nice and structured, not too heavy even though it's 14%. Went really well with the lamb we were having. Not sure I'd pay £25 for it myself but I wouldn't complain if someone else did.
Bit pricey for what it is
It's decent enough — clean finish, no complaints about the taste. But at over £25 I expected something a bit more exciting? There are Italian reds at £15 that give you just as much. Fine wine, just not amazing value.
