Estela Perinetti Grand Vin 2019
Red 14% ABV ABV Estela PerinettiBirthday treat that delivered
Got this for my 40th and honestly it was the highlight of the evening. Really well balanced — fruity but not sweet, if that makes sense? The finish just keeps going in a really pleasant way. At £40 it's not an everyday wine but for a special occasion it's spot on.
Nice but maybe a touch steep
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something interesting for a dinner party. It's good, proper grown-up red with loads of layers going on. Bit pricey for what it is though — I've had similar quality for closer to £30. Would still drink it again if someone else was buying.
Perfect with a slow-cooked lamb
Picked this up after seeing it on a restaurant menu and wanting to try it at home. Warm and smooth with 14% that you genuinely don't notice, which is impressive. Made a big lamb shoulder and this was brilliant alongside it. Clean finish that just makes you want another glass.
Really expressive red
I'm still pretty new to trying wines outside the usual supermarket stuff but this was a real step up. You can smell everything really clearly — not just generic 'red wine' smell. It unfolds as you drink it which I thought was really cool. Definitely one I'd buy again for a nice weekend in.
