Equipos Navazos Montilla Oloroso La Bota 116
Red 14% ABV ABV Equipos NavazosGood but steep price
Got this as a birthday present and it's a solid wine. Really nice structure and the finish lingers in a pleasant way. My only gripe is that at over fifty quid I'd probably not repurchase — there are wines I enjoy just as much for half the price. That said, if someone else is buying, I wouldn't say no.
Lovely stuff for a dinner party
Brought this to a friend's dinner party and it went down really well. It's one of those wines where you take a sip and then notice something new the second time around. The acidity keeps it balanced so it doesn't feel heavy at all. Would definitely get it again for a nice evening in.
Takes a minute but rewards you
I'll be honest, my first glass I wasn't sure about it. But by the second pour it had opened up loads and the fruit and acidity were really well balanced. Clean finish too — my wife and I kept topping each other up which is always a good sign. At £52 it's a treat not an everyday bottle but I'd say it earns its price.
Blown away by this
Picked this up after the guy at my local wine shop wouldn't stop going on about it. He was right — it's got this amazing depth that just keeps opening up the longer you sit with it. Had it with a slow-cooked lamb shoulder and it was absolutely perfect. Not cheap at £52 but honestly felt worth it for a special occasion.
