El Otro Garnacha Rosado 2024
Rosé 12% ABV ABV El OtroDecent everyday rosé
The guy at the wine shop recommended this and said it was better than most rosés at this price. He's not wrong, there's definitely more going on than your average pink wine. Good with pizza on a Friday night. Not life-changing but I'd happily have it in the fridge.
Really nice summer rosé
Picked this up from the wine shop on a whim and honestly it's punching well above its weight for under twelve quid. Proper dry rosé with a nice zing of acidity, none of that sickly sweet nonsense. Had it with some grilled chicken in the garden and it was spot on.
Best rosé I've had in ages
OK so I don't usually get excited about rosé but this El Otro Garnacha is genuinely lovely. It's got real depth and structure without being heavy, and the acidity keeps it fresh and moreish. At £11.75 I think it's actually good value — I've had far worse at twice the price.
Surprised by this one
Saw this on a restaurant menu and ordered a glass not expecting much. Really pleasantly surprised — it smells gorgeous and has a proper dry finish that lingers nicely. Tracked down a bottle to buy for home afterwards. Spanish rosé doesn't get enough credit honestly.
Expected more for the price
Nearly £12 for a Garnacha rosé feels a bit steep when you can get perfectly good ones for £8. It's pleasant enough and the finish is nice and clean, but I wasn't blown away. My partner liked it more than I did to be fair.
Solid but not amazing
It's fine. Decent enough rosé, dry and clean, does what it says on the tin. I just feel like there are better options around this price point. Would drink it again but wouldn't go out of my way to buy it.
Great find for a dinner party
Bought three bottles for a dinner party and everyone commented on it. Really expressive nose — you can actually smell it properly which I always appreciate. Dry with good acidity so it worked brilliantly with the seafood pasta we had. Will definitely buy again.
