I can't stand sweet champagne and this is perfect for me. Extra Brut means barely any added sugar and you can really taste the actual wine underneath. Had it with some smoked salmon starters and it was brilliant. Duval-Leroy don't get enough credit honestly.

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and we were both blown away. Really dry and crisp without being harsh — you can tell the dosage is super low but it doesn't feel like anything's missing. At £57 it's not cheap but honestly it drinks like something pricier. Will be buying again for Christmas.

My wife got me this for my birthday after seeing it recommended somewhere online. Genuinely one of the best champagnes I've had — really expressive on the nose and it just keeps building as you drink it. The finish goes on forever. Felt very special without being pretentious.

Kenji Watanabe - Punches above its weight

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and looked up Duval-Leroy afterwards. Grabbed a bottle from a wine merchant and it's just as good at home. Lovely structure, really clean finish, and at 12.5% you can have a couple of glasses without falling over. Solid pick for a dinner party.

Zoe Chen - Nice but maybe not £58 nice

Had this at a friend's house and thought it was good but not amazing. Very dry and clean, well-made for sure. I just think at this price point there are Cremants and Cavas that get you 80% of the way there. Would drink it again but probably wouldn't buy a bottle myself.

Marco Andretti - Solid champagne, proper stuff

The guy at my local wine shop recommended this when I said I wanted something drier than Moët. He wasn't wrong — it's got a lovely firm acidity and the bubbles are really fine. Good depth to it too, not just a one-note fizz. Fair price for a Premier Cru.

Diana Cruz - Decent champagne, bit austere

I can appreciate this is well made and the quality is clearly there. But I think I just prefer something with a bit more fruit and richness personally. It's very precise and dry — almost too restrained for my taste. My partner loved it though so maybe it's a style thing.

Clara Johansson - Replaced my usual Bollinger with this

I'm not a wine expert by any stretch but I know what I like, and this is properly good. A friend who knows more about wine than me brought it round and now I keep a bottle in the fridge. The acidity is spot on and it's dry without being aggressive. Saves me a few quid over Bollinger too which is a bonus.
