I'm still learning about champagne but I know Grand Cru is meant to be the good stuff and yeah, you can taste why. It's confident and structured without being heavy. At 12.5% it's easy drinking too. Had it with some takeaway sushi and it was a great combo.

Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both blown away. Really crisp and clean with proper depth to it, not just fizz and nothing else. At nearly 70 quid it's not an everyday thing but for a special occasion it absolutely nailed it.

The wine shop guy steered me toward this when I said I wanted something a step up from Moët. He was right — it's got this lovely precision to it and the bubbles are really fine. Would definitely buy again for Christmas or anniversaries.

Look, it's a nice champagne. Clean finish, bright acidity, does what it says on the tin. But I've had bottles at £45 that got me nearly as excited. If someone else is paying, brilliant. Out of my own pocket, I'd think twice.

Elena Morozova - Went down a storm at dinner

Picked this up for a dinner party and everyone kept asking about it. It's all Chardonnay which gives it that really elegant thing going on. The finish just lingers nicely — we ended up opening a second bottle which says it all really.

Saw this on a restaurant wine list and ordered it on a whim. Genuinely one of the best champagnes I've had in ages. There's real complexity in there, not just bubbles and sugar. Tracked down a bottle to buy at home and no regrets at all.

Had this with some friends over the weekend. It's good — proper champagne flavour, decent acidity, clean finish. But at this price point I was expecting something that'd make me go wow and it didn't quite get there for me. Still enjoyed it though.
