France's winemaking heritage needs no introduction, but the best producers continue to find new ways to express their terroir while honouring centuries of tradition. Drappier is a name worth knowing in this context.

On the Nose and Palate

The nose offers complex bouquet of toasted brioche, pear, white peach, and a subtle honeyed richness. Moving to the palate, the wine is generous and complex, showing stone fruit, pastry cream, and a lovely toasty richness with vibrant acidity. The finish is persistent and elegant, with fine bubbles carrying brioche and lemon notes to a clean close.

Aria Kim VIPsAllowed - Best champagne I've had in ages
10/10

The guy at my local wine shop recommended this and I'm so glad I listened. It's rich and almost creamy but still has that crisp fizz that keeps it fresh. You get brioche, stone fruit, a bit of lemon on the end — honestly it's just beautifully put together. Already planning to grab another for Christmas.

Had this at a friend's birthday and immediately wanted to know what it was. Really lovely pear and peach flavours with a toasty edge, and the finish goes on forever. Tracked a bottle down myself but £125 is a lot — I'd say it's genuinely good champagne but there are solid options at half the price that get you 80% of the way there.

Tried this at a restaurant and liked it enough to order a bottle for home. It's got real depth to it — not like those thin, sharp champagnes that just taste like fizzy acid. The peach and pastry notes are gorgeous and it stays with you after each sip. Drappier clearly know what they're doing with this one.

Bought this for our anniversary dinner and wow, it did not disappoint. The toasty brioche thing is real — it smells incredible before you even take a sip. Bubbles are super fine and it's got this lovely creamy richness that just keeps going. At £125 it's not an everyday buy but for a celebration it's absolutely spot on.
