Drappier Brut Nature 'no added sulphur' NV Champagne
Champagne 12.5% ABV ABV DrappierSeriously impressed
Had this at a friend's dinner party and went straight home to order a bottle. There's something about it that just tastes more honest than regular champagne if that makes sense? Give it a few minutes to breathe and it really comes alive. Already planning to get a couple more for Christmas.
Great with food
Saw this on the menu at a restaurant and ordered a bottle on a whim. Went brilliantly with our seafood starters and held up through the main course too. Really well balanced, not too sharp, not too sweet. The no sulphur angle is a nice bonus — felt great the next morning.
Best champagne I've had in ages
Picked this up from Drappier after reading about their no sulphur range. The fruit really comes through and there's a depth to it that builds as you drink. Finish is clean and just makes you want another sip. My new go-to for when I want to splash out.
No sulphur, no problem
I get headaches from a lot of champagne so the no added sulphur thing caught my eye. Happy to report zero headache and genuinely lovely stuff — fruity and open right from the pour. It's proper champagne, not gimmicky at all.
Birthday treat that delivered
Bought this for my wife's 40th and we were both blown away. Really clean and fresh, none of that heavy yeasty thing you get with some champagnes. The bubbles are super fine and it just keeps opening up the longer it sits in the glass. Pricey at £62 but honestly felt worth it for a special occasion.
Good but not £62 good
The wine shop guy recommended this when I said I wanted something a bit different. It's nice, really clean finish and the bubbles are lovely, but I've had champagnes at £40 that I enjoyed just as much. Would maybe buy again on offer.
Decent, quite different
Not gonna lie, I mostly drink prosecco so this was a step up for me. You can tell it's quality — smooth bubbles, nice balance between fruity and dry. Took a while to get into it but by the second glass I was a fan. A bit steep price-wise for a regular buy though.
