Domaines Ott Chateau Romassan Bandol Rosé 2023 / Magnum
Rosé 12% ABV ABV OttWorth every penny for a special night
Bought the magnum for my wife's 40th and it was the star of the evening. Seriously complex for a rosé — there's proper depth and structure here, not just pink water like some rosés I've had. Everyone kept going back for more. At £100 it's not cheap but for a magnum of something this good, I'd do it again.
Dinner party hero
Brought this out with a big seafood spread and it was perfect. Not sweet at all which I really appreciated, and it's got this depth that made everyone stop and actually pay attention to what they were drinking. The magnum format is great for a group — looks impressive on the table too.
Beautiful but my wallet hurts
Had this at a restaurant in Nice last summer and tracked down a bottle when I got home. It's genuinely lovely — dry, structured, and way more interesting than your average rosé. The acidity keeps everything fresh and it just doesn't quit. Bit pricey for a rosé though, even if it is Ott.
Best rosé I've ever had full stop
The guy at my local wine shop talked me into this and I'm so glad he did. There's so much going on — it's balanced and complex but somehow still easy to drink at 12%. Clean finish that lingers in the best way. I know magnums are meant for sharing but honestly I could work through this one myself.
Really nice but I expected more at this price
Got this as a birthday present and it's a good rosé, don't get me wrong. Dry and well balanced with a nice long finish. But at nearly £100 I was expecting to be completely blown away and I wasn't quite there. I've had Provence rosés at half the price that came close. Would happily drink it again if someone else is buying though.
